I landed my feet in UK again but this time is studying for good..Taking 4 papers for the first time..i hope i can cope in this land full with opportunities and entertainment and considering i'm on a 3-month timetable schedule..Failing F8 wasn't a choice-it was damn close!

Since class starting in september 7, i decided to enjoy myself and visiting places before devoting myself totally into studying-no life i noe =( but it's only for a year..hopefully!

We had a party today at Kenny Rogers Roasters celebrating Hong Khai & Nicholas's birthday as well as Chun Hoe's farewell and speaking bout that this is the first time i saw him with tears rolling down-we'll talk about it some other time.

After the party, Edmund dared Calvin to refill his Kenny Rogers cup in McD with Coca-Cola and will reward him(in $$) even if he fails but the reward for success is slightly higher than failure. So , Hong Khai & me decided to share the reward with Edmund and I got to record this video clip. The sound can't be heard clearly as it was recorded from far.

Klang Outing

Went to Teluk Gong with Mabel, Edmund, Marcus, Ivan, Patrick, Hong Khai & Chun Hoe for seafood. It was not really a seafood outing for me as i'm allergy to seafood. The rest went straight there around 5.30pm as it is quite difficult to get a place if we were to go there late while i waited for Mabel and joined them around 6. So, Mabel was in charge to order the food which turn up to be a bad idea as it was too pricey!! But the food was good according to them but they sort of got "conned" because they thought they are suppose to get the normal crab but instead they got soft-shell crab. According to the restaurant, they didn't get their supply for that day. I guess the crabs too needs to "balik kampung". Oh well.. While we were eating, an advertisement suddenly caught Ivan's eyes-it was Mabel's Sharp Aquos LCD advertisement. Ivan suddenly got up and shout(pointing at Mabel while looking at the TV), "Hey everyone, it's her!! it's her!!" The other table around us look at us..lol! Mabel felt quite shy then she put on her sunglass to cover her face. We laugh among ourselves and suggesting ways to react if the advertisement were to show up again(eg: kui hai ngo gei pang yau(pointing at Mabel)..damn funny..Edmund waited patiently for the advertisement to show up..It did show up eventually but it was towards the end when the others realise and Mabel was pretty glad.

Do a man's looks matter to women? Beauty has always been typically associated with women, but according to a survey of some 10,000 respondents from 12 nations, male beauty is important.

The findings of the "What do women really really want" survey conducted by Synovate last October show that about 30% of women rate their partner's looks as being very important.

The survey revealed some surprising facts about how both men and women perceive male beauty. It also reflected various notions of what defines a good-looking man.

The respondents were from Malaysia, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France Greece, Russia, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom and United States.

Some 21% if Malaysian men think self-confidence in a man makes him good-looking, while other criteria include dressing well(20%) as well as good hygiene and frsh breath(17%).

According to the survey, 78% of Malaysian men do not consider themselves good-looking(izzit?). In contrast, 81% of Greek men consider themselves sexy, with Russians following closely at 80%.

Malaysian women, however, rate local men as better looking than those from other countries.

7 out of 10 men said their main motive in looking good was for themselves. Globally, the most used beauty aid by men is deodorant, but interestingly, Malaysian men were second to China, at 52%, to be the least number in the 12 nations to use a deodorant.

The 3 beauty aids most commonly used by Malaysian men are facial wash(57%), hair products(55%) and whitening toothpaste(54%).

The findings also showed that 67% of Malaysians, both men and women, think a man's appearance gets better with age.

Aunt's 60th at Genting

Headed up to Genting last week for aunt's 60th birthday..Had my "first" shark fin there after being conned for 19 years-will explain bout it later..16 attended including my grandmother(mum side). My aunt's birthday actually falls on the 24th but it clashes with my grandmother's(dad side) death anniversary so it was held earlier as my aunt was abit superstitious. We all stayed at Genting Hotel(the one with the Genting logo on the roof) except my uncle & aunt and my grandmother who stayed in First World as the rooms were fully booked!! But their rooms are actually bigger than ours though..

Have you watch Ip Man? He's not Iron Man's brother or Internet Protocol(IP) Man..Ip Man(Yè Wèn) is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grand master of the Wing Chun style of kung fu and sifu (master) of legendary kung fu superstar Bruce Lee. This movie will be the first important record of the master's life. Ip's persistent devotion to Wing Chun is a classic example of the love and respect shown to wushu and the freedom and spirit it represents. Ip Man is a concept, a spirit, a way of thinking - and it represent a new peak in Hong Kong's wushu movies. The speed of his fist is the main attraction of the movie and most of my friends are infected with Ipmangasm after watching it..haha! Well during the movie, some of my friends also shouted Zai Xi's name as he resembles some traits of Donnie Yen(Ip Man). Oh yea, his wife is so pretty in that movie, lol.. Neways it was fun hanging out with about 17 people that day.

Chinese Traditional Wedding

Congratulations to my newly wed cousin, Nelson Chang & Susan Siah...

In conjunction with that, I'm gonna post about the whole process of a chinese traditional wedding. A bachelor night will be held 1 day before the marriage where friends and relatives get to get the bridegroom drunk.

Firstly early in the morning, the bridegroom's friends and relatives will gather at his house. Then, the bridegroom will pick up the bride from her home with a wedding car(preferably a Merc or a BMW) driven by a driver followed by a fleet of cars(this time round my cousin wanted those cars to be either a Merc or a BMW). As the bridegroom reaches the bride's home, all the cars following the wedding car will honk on their horns to alert the bride's relatives and friends that they are arriving.

The bridegroom won't get to see the bride once he reaches her place. He will have to go through a process called 'Love Test' which will be carried out by a group of bridesmaids(girls who are either the bride's friends or realtives). This includes paying the bridesmaids in form of angpau which the figure would be an absurd amount. The bridegroom will then negotiate with them the figure and he would be subject to the 'terms & conditions'. He and his bunch of friends will be given some hardship like eating sandwiches full of wasabi, pumping, ear squats, signing contracts which is in favour of the bride, etc. Finally, after passing all the tests, he will be given a key to the bride's room and then takes her home with him.(sorry i don't have the pics in this part of the process as i woke up very late that day)

Upon arrival back home, he will be greeted with firecrackers and someone is supposed to carry some oranges and open the car door for him. He will then get off the car with the bride and is welcomed by al the friends and relatives.

He will need to bring the bride to their wedding room which is nicely decorated. Normally, the couple will get a small kid(about 3yrs old) of an auspicious zodiac, say a dragon to roll on the couple's bed and to pee on a pail(chinese kind). If the bridegroom was a second child and the elder brother is not married yet, the elder brother must hang his shorts for the couple to pass through(this was the case of my cousin but he forgotten about it and he regarded that as too superstitious). After all that they will have to go through a praying process which the sequence is quite common and can be recalled by any chinese.

2nd bow is to the parents
3rd is the couple will bow to each other

After that, there will be a serving tea to the elder relatives ceremony which starts with the bridegroom's parents, the bride's parents, and then grandmothers & grandfathers followed by uncles & aunts. This is some sort of blessing from the elders to the couple. After drinking the tea served by the couple, the elderly will give a token of blessing such as jewellery or cash in the form of angpau.

After the ceremony, the couple will get the blessing from the younger generations too(like me =P) but this time they will be giving us angpau instead of us giving them something.

The whole morning process will end with a photograph session of all the friends and relatives of the bride and the bridegroom.

The next session would be in the night where friends and relatives are invited to dinner(normally in chinese restaurants but in modern times people prefer ballrooms) where invites were sent out 1 month before the wedding ceremony.

Guests are greeted by relatives who will deal with the invitation cards sent out earlier which is now accompanied by some cash to show some gratitude & to acknowledge their attendance by signing on a piece of paper

Guests get to enjoy a slideshow of how the couple met, pictures of them when they were young, the wedding process, etc.

Guests are being entertain while the bridegroom and the bride serves guests at the entrance of the ballroom

Guests will then be served with a 8-course meal and liquor. During the whole dinner, the couple will go around all the tables and drink with everyone there with the famous Ya....mmm.....Seng.

My brother was one of the attraction there..lolz

People go around and take photos especially the younger generation. The main attraction would still be the couple and i also did took a photo with the couple but my cousin is yet to sent me the photos. It will be up soon once i received it. Hope this brief introduction will help those who are making preparations for their wedding.

A friend of mine, Rebecca juz got this new phone, SonyEricsson Xperia X1...It's a damn good phone but according to her it carries a hefty price of RM3,100( jaws drop down). When i saw it that day, I juz can't get my hands off the phone..damn!! Plus i'm not going to get it after all...it's just too pricey!! Edmund said, " I'd rather get a laptop because you can't play DOTA with this phone" LOL

F6 is very predictable so no tips as such

Practise as many exam standard questions as you can.

Make sure you do to time. After the 15 minute reading time you have 1.8 minutes per mark. If a question is split between part (a) 10 marks and part (b) 10 marks then only spend 18 minutes on part (a) and then move on to part (b).

Look at all the requirements of the question, can you answer an easy parts first, for example one part maybe standalone and on something very straightforward, so do this part first
You do not have to answer the questions in the order they are set, if question 5 is the easiest do this one first.

Question 3 will be the hardest so leave this until last but make sure you leave 36 minutes to answer it.
Do not panic if you can’t remember something in a question, don’t spend too much time trying to remember it, have a go or even guess. Then you can move on to other parts of the question.

Above all you need 50% to pass, so find the marks you can do. There will always be more than 50% of the question which is examining core areas of the syllabus, only a few marks will be fringe areas, but you do not have to worry about these as you can find the 50 marks you need to pass

Yesterday in the foyer...

We're making hell of noise in the foyer while playing "chor dai di" when 2 fellas from the table behind looking at us and, "Sshhhh" with their annoyed look on their face...

Ivan(smiling at us): Hey guys..you're suppose to be quiet in the foyer...

My new baby(or wife-quote Edmund) arrived last week after a long wait for the number plate, delivery time, etc. It's like a dream come true for me =) My sis however will officially take over the Myvi..It's really a nice ride though- light steering, powerful pick-up, and most of all it's a sedan(my favourite all along) but i have to control myself not to over-rev the car for the 1st 1000km which means not more than 3000rpm...hmm..it will be a hard task for me!! Mock's next week..hopefully the car will motivate me=)

I've just finished watching Mamma Mia, you should really watch it..it's the best musical movie ever(even better than Sweeney Todd) featuring Abba songs. The setting is really beautiful and what makes the movie alive!! How i wish i can go there for a holiday!! Must watch movie!! The island is better than any island in Malaysia...damn!

And speaking bout Pierce Brosnan, he's so handsome and sexy(p/s: i'm not gay)
although he has aged since acting as the famous 007...He's like getting more handsome as he grows old and that same goes to Andy Lau...how i wish i was like that! =P

I started watching Prison Break Season 1(excuse me, now only u watching season 1..quote Yi Wen) since everyone's been talking about how nice the series is...and i know it's already Season 4 but no worries i'm catching up..It's a really nice show though..but like what Mabel said, "you must use your brain to watch," Hmm..well quite true also..you'll understand when you watch it..

A friendly advice->don't buy 'chong'/pirated memory cards..they look exactly like original memory cards but a lot of my friends experience the memory cards go corrupted after some time..i'm not saying i was cheated cause i bought them very cheap..These memory cards are priced far cheaper than the originals..Conclusion: don't get tempted with something cheap before making research about a product =p

My personal advice when you plan to sign up for any gym club...

Tip 1: Enquire preferred gym club and clubs nearby and make comparison in terms or rates and facilities. In this case, you should take a tour around the gym to see the facilities yourself. After that, the consultant will ask you to have a sit and quote you the rates. For some clubs, they will throw in entrance fees, annual fees, etc into the rates. Try to bargain to get the best deal or just walk away(eg:"oh ok, i think i'll need to consider about it and bla bla bla") and you might end up getting the entrance and annual fees waived or they will like give in.(eg:"hmm, if you are interested, i give you a corporate rate and don't tell your friends you get this rate"-they tell everyone that!) If you are satisfied with the rate and maybe you need to discuss with your parents or something, they will ask you to leave your contact number. If you don't want them to disturb you, say you don't have a cell phone or ask them for their name card and suggest that you'll call them instead.

Tip 2: After arriving to a conclusion to sign up for the gym club, you negotiate further to see any more discounts can they give as they are assured that you will be joining, they might give you a better rate(eg:free 6 months when you sign up for 1 1/2 year and the rate will be cheaper if you spread throughout the number of months) or more free gifts(bags, water bottle,etc.) Make sure you negotiate before you sign any papers! Note that you will be charged an additional 5% government tax above the rates given.

Tip 3: After signing the papers, they will get a personal trainer to serve you. The personal trainer will then explain the stages of workout by drawing a ladder with different stages on how to start and that it is ineffective if you workout yourself. He will then say if you don't follow the stages, you will injured yourself and bla bla bla. He will then quote you the rates which is ridiculous and ask you is it expensive. You will definitely say "Yes" and he will slash the price half or something(how absurd). Its not that i'm against personal trainer but if you really need 1, you should bargain for a better deal or "google" it in the internet and you might just save a few months allowance(that is if you are not subsidised by your parents like me). So if he sees you are a little confused or reluctant, he will make an appointment with you and experience it for yourself. I personally have not been in these training programme but my friend told me that it's merely someone who teaches you the basic breathing, balanced diet and workout methods and force you to workout to the max(something like a teacher in school who shouts at you). I think that's all i can share...

P/S: Be firm with your decision made before signing up or they might just throw you another package with cheaper monthly payments but high commitment such as 2 years and more.

I am looking forward for this movie Bangkok Dangerous starring Nicholas Cage which is due to release in Malaysia around 23 October. As you can see i'm sort of a big fan of Nicholas Cage. I enjoy watching his movies especially Gone in 60 Seconds, Next & Ghost Rider. He somehow has his style and sense of humour which allows his to act naturally and his role is always well potrayed in every movie. If you look at the right-hand corner of this page, you can see that Bangkok Dangerous is currently rank 1 in the US Box Office and i'm sure it would also be the same in Malaysia when the movie in release this October. Can't wait to watch this movie!!

This new movie revolves around a Hitman, Joe (Nicolas Cage) who goes to Bangkok on an assignment to kill four people. He hires pickpocket Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm) as his assistant and meets a beautiful mute girl along the way.

Joe is given the contract by Bangkok gangsters who communicate with Joe through Kong and a dancer who becomes romantically involved with Kong.

Joe breaks his own rule of not getting involved with people on his missions and takes Kong under his wing because he sees Kong as a younger version of himself. Kong regularly comments on, and asks about Joe's victims being bad people; this awakens Joe's conscience. Joe takes out three 'bad men' who are as Joe says to Kong "bad for somebody". In the third killing Kong assists Joe and the kill does not go as planned with the target nearly getting away before Joe catches him and shoots him after a chase in front of many shocked onlookers.

His fourth target is a politician and therefore a difficult target resulting in Joe demanding more money. The gangsters intend to kill Joe to avoid the murder being traced back to them, as Joe sets off to the location of the final kill the gangsters kidnap Kong and the dancer girl and use them to find Joe's safe house. The target politician is beloved by the people, including Kong. As a result Joe hesitates when he is about to shoot him, which results in him being spotted by the police who fire at him leaving the assassination attempt a failure.

Joe has now become the target and having evaded the police is attacked at his house by four gang members; he manages to use explosives to take them out and is faced with the choice of rescuing Kong or leaving the country unharmed. Joe decides to rescue Kong so sets off to the gangs HQ with one of the half-alive attackers who was injured in the explosion at Joe's safe house.

BEST LAWYER STORY OF THE YEAR
A lawyer purchased a box of very rare and expensive cigars, and then insured them against, among other things, fire!

Within a month, having smoked his entire stock pile of these great cigars and without yet having made even his first premium payment on the policy, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company.

In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost "in a series of small fires." The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion.

The lawyer sued and WON! (Stay with it).

Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine.

I went Genting again...but this time i went with my parents for Merdeka(Independence Day) and we stayed at Highlands Hotel together with my mum's friends(and family). Edmund, Hong Khai and the rest might meet me up later but in the end i think they can't make it. Our room(so as theirs) was strategically situated in front and we could watch the fireworks display conveniently from the room itself. I think what really excites me this trip is the beautiful fireworks display and the food..We went for dinner at the Coffee Terrace( i never been there before as it's too pricey and i hardly go up to Genting with my parents) which is something like Shogun and i can't stop myself from trying all the varieties there. I was really tempted especially the desserts but i didn't have much room for them in the end.

Well after dinner, my dad wanted to go to the Casino so i decided to follow him there to try my luck(2nd attempt to enter the Casino) as i'm underage you see...

True enough i was caught by the security guard and i acted innocent but still can't fool him*sighs* My dad says it's so obvious my face looks underage. So i was left behind and i decided to go to the Outdoor Theme Park to watch some performance and see if i can bump into anyone. Later that night, i went back to the hotel and went online with dad's com while waiting for the fireworks display. It started with the countdown followed by the national anthem Negaraku, Jalur Gemilang and Keranamu Malaysia. The fireworks started soon after the last song ended.

18.08.08 was indeed an auspicious day and a memorable day for me...

I'VE FINALLY CLEARED CAT!!

I was kinda nervous before the results were out and i knew i had done my best and i can't do anything to change the fact. Whatever happen happens...

I sneaked out during F5 and went to the library as the clock stroke 12.15 (results estimated to be out around 12 GMT+8). I quickly turned on the computer and went straight to the ACCA website as i don't think email would be any faster. The connection there was really slow(including the slow response of the ACCA website as the whole world are assessing the website portal) and my heartbeat rate was at its peak. It beat even faster after i entered my login ID and password as the monitor lagged with this on the top left corner...

Yup! I was working for Olympus in last week's PC Fair at KL Convention Centre, KLCC.Spot me? I must say it was tiring but it was fun and enjoyable. Make new friends and meet alot(alot alot) of people. It is estimated to be about 100,000 visitors per day by previous statistics but this time round, i doubt the figure. I must say this PC Fair has the least visitors in its history!! Our sales too was affected and my teammates and I were not able to achieve our targets. I personally think one of the reasons for this is that the rising fuel cost and the current inflation which definitely affects the spending power of the majority of people. Those sales i closed were mainly well to do people(80% paid with Platinum credit cards), i assume...And a number of exhibitors cut cost this year as a majority of them did not hire show girls!! T_T except for those big companies like Sony, Samsung, P1, OKI, etc.

Well i went to college like normal on Monday with my unfinished tax homework. I was lucky Ms Rozi did not pick on me to answer the questions for the homework, if not i would be doomed!! Well on Friday, i was not notified that i had a test for law class. I just came to class early to read what i was left out during last Friday's class. I was surprised why everyone was as hardworking as me though!XP Then Zai Xi told me about the test today and i had a shocked in my life!! Imagine the heavy chapter for law...how can anyone read a chapter in a short time-IMPOSSIBLE! Then i start to recall why Emily replied "........btw i haven't touched my law". I thought it was quite random when i wished her happy birthday so i didn't think much. Back to that day, i was busy revising during break as the test will be after the break. As i was walking back to class, reading while walking, i heard a voice..It was Mr Jana and he was responding to my reading while walking, he said, " You better be careful, Jun..there are better things to do in life"(in his usual tone) *smiles and walks back to class*

Oh yea, i left my bag with my books inside Arnold's car!! It leaves me nothing but to lead a relaxing weekend(hooray!) which definitely will increase my laziness, aihz!

My friends always ask me to build up my body saying i am thin, underweight,etc. Well i think so too but didn't really have the time to think bout it. Since i went shopping that day, i entered GNC to enquire(i was told by my friends that i need protein powder as the main ingredient). The sales person then told me that i should not take protein first(she assumes i'm underweight and yea i am =P). She then introduced me this...

She said that i have to build up my weight 1st before i take those protein. After a long discussion, i finally bought this(so called carbohydrate + protein) as a start. I must say its really pricey T_T
She also gave me assurance on the product and customers' feedback. So why don't i give it a try. And the unacceptable part is i have to finish this in 5 days approximately(3 times a day). Imagine 2kg++ powder to finish in 5 days!!

It was on the news today..what a joke! Since when Mercedes cars are cheaper to maintain? I remember when i was young..my sis played with the power window switch and broke the glass of the passenger seat and guess what? It cost my dad about RM1k++ just to repair it. And 1 of the reason why my dad sold the car was because it was expensive to maintain. Probably to the rich, it's nothing la.

Back to the article, the Terengganu MBs bought a total of 14 Mercedes-Benz E200K which costs the government RM3.43 million(taxpayer's money) to replace their existing Proton Perdana Executive(the limo type) which was bought in 2004 and they quoted that it was time to change. What nonsense...My parents and I laughed this morning after i read them the article. But the save fuel costs maybe i agree la cause the Perdanas are running on V6 engines. On the cheaper to maintain, i don't think so...What you guys think?

After law class on friday, a group of us consist of Arnold, Jen Sern, Beng Sing, Zai Xi, Marcus, Brian, Tat, Seh Yung, Philip, Zen, Chai Ping, Hui Jeat, Ying Chyi & her fren Mel and me head to TGV Sunway Pyramid for The Dark Knight. A total of 15 tickets altogether and i was in charge to collect the student cards and buy the tickets. We took exactly the whole row in the middlle!

Somewhere in the middle of the movie, K(dunno who's that) called Hui Jeat(i think), who sits on the right side looking for Zen who sits on the left side and we passed their message whispering person to person. It goes like this...

<--- : Urgent! *everyone laughs* I rate the show 9.9/10!! 0.1 for a draggy feeling, haha...but overall it was great! Everyone shud watch this movie of the year. Better then Hancock definitely(just in case u want to decide between the two =P) Perhaps you would like to watch the trailer?

I'm sure everyone been to Mc' Donalds rite? You should be familiar with their ordering & payment system, i guess...you know...u line up-> order food->pay what is displayed on the cashier's till. Okay, here's what happen yesterday...as i was queuing hungrily for food, i decided to calculate my payment so that i can pay fast and take my food as fast as possible(u know..the 5% service tax stuff). It turn out to be RM15++ & when it was my turn...

Me: 1 McChicken set Regular
McD: Minum?
Me: Sprite tak mau ais
McD: ok..ada order lagi?
Me: er, 1 lagi BigMac burger sahaja...okay, berapa?
McD: Rm17.30
Me: Huh? Oh! *pays the amount while taking extra RM2 from my wallet(wondering how terrible my maths is)

So when i was eating, felt quite boring so i just pick up the bill just now and i noticed something...

Hmm...now i know what went wrong! my maths was alright=) So after finishing my meal, i went to the counter and said:

"Boleh panggil itu manager?"(~~acting like some customer want to make a scene~~) *the manager know me since i dealed with her regarding my bro's b'day party arrangement for today*

The manager smiled and came to me...

Then something pop out in my mind while i was walking to my car. The manager can take money from the till like that? What happen to the internal control? XD *forgive the audit student who is still uncertain what audit result he will get but i'm praying hard that i will get out of CAT 100% confirm although i'm in ACCA Part 2 now*

I'm into gaming recently..Gaming as in game consoles especially my PS2 which had been abandoned by me since I step into the world of ACCA. Another reason it was abandoned is because its lens had some problem which resulted restarting the console several times before a game can be launched. So after several attempts, i started to feel fed up so i didn't feel like playing with it, thinking the same thing will happen again and again. So finally i abandoned it. Recently, the arrival of the Nintendo Wii seems to have taken over its role in my bro's room which means the PS2 will be 100% abandoned! I was thinking what a waste after seeing the number of game bought last time so i decided to send the PS2 for repair and use it personally. Definitely i have to fork out the repair cost myself *sighs* as i recalled the last time it was repaired cost RM100++ which was borne half by my sis. Finally i got a call saying my PS2 was ready to be collected yesterday and i picked it up on my way back from college.

Guess what? since the PS2 belongs to me now, i'm going to make full use of it and TADA!!!

Back to the new Wii..It's a great console i can say..my cousin brought it back from US 2 weeks ago and of course it costs lesser than in Malaysia, say about few hundred ringgit. On the day i fit the console with my bro's TV. I heard a sound 'piak' and then got some smell coming out from the adapter. Guess what, the adapter got burned. I did use the conversion plug(US 125V-> MY 240V) k? So i rushed to get a new adapter and sought advice from those game shops. I brought along the burned adapter. The fella said i needed a universal adapter which cost RM80 and a new adapter(the exact one i had originally) which cost RM120. He suggested a local made one(& cheaper of coz) but he said there were negative feedback on them so finally i said i'll take the ori one. Total=RM200..I was like OMG!! T_T there goes my money!! I tried to bargain. After some time, the fella gave in with a RM20 discount.

The features of the Wii was impressive

- built in WiFi
- news channel with a globe GUI to search for any country's news
- global weather channel
- photo editor(something like photoshop)
- reads and supports SD, MiniSD, MicroSD, etc.
- nintendo cube accessories is also supported

The negative part is it cannot support pirated games. To enable it, you must get it modified at about RM200++. I'm waiting for the price to be lower before i modify it. Currently(currently only XD) i'm an original Wii Games supporter=)

We Malaysians are actually paying another extra RM0.004 per litre besides the 78 sen increment. Not that it had a lot of impact on us, i was just wondering what happen to the government's plan earlier on the Rounding Mechanism? If it's RM2.704, shouldn't it be RM2.70?Confused citizen!=P

The Petrol Tsunami...
I was leading a happy and enjoyable life today as my parents were outstation with my fellow neighbours, who wouldn't?XD In the evening, i was driving pass the petrol station and was wondering why there's a number of people(about 20+ cars) queuing to pump petrol as there shouldn't be that much cars around that hour. I was saying to myself don't tell me petrol price increase meh?I didn't brought out my phone since i was charging both my phones, so i left both of them upstairs as i didn't expect any important calls. Then my sis get hold of me and said that my mum called and asked me to fill up the petrol as the price is expected to increase the next day and guess what, they left 3 cars behind! I was like omg(what i said came true)..i'm the only license holder in the house! I persuaded my sis as she is taking driving lessons now but she was afraid. So i decided to take my car out first then the other 2 and on the way i phoned Edgar asking him whether its some prank and he say maybe not cause there's some website stating that this was a rumour and vice versa. So i queued along(expected) together with my Audit EDC Pack . I queued about 1 and a half hours there and finally->it was not my turn yet but i observed many cars were turning back and i winded down the window and the petrol kiosk operator was announcing "PETROL SUDAH HABIS!!" WTF?? I was damn pissed off so i went back telling myself aiya juz 20-30ringgit extra only mer(to comfort myself) and i was listening to FLY FM about this person commenting "MALAYSIANS PUMP PETROL NOW AS IF THEY GOING TO GET ONE YEAR SUPPLY..COMPARE OUR COUNTRY TO OTHER COUNTRIES, THE PETROL IS STILL CHEAP and bla bla bla". So i went back home with the disappointing face and on my way back, i realized "eh?? one of the car in my house runs on DIESEL->PETROL SUDAH HABIS=DIESEL STILL GOT?. With this assumption, i speed back home and grab the other car and my assumption was right. They still have diesel!!! But my credit card can't be used cause their system went offline..thank god i still have some cash. It came out to about RM69 which i'm definitely going to claim back when my parents come back=)

"Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Wednesday announced price hikes for petrol, diesel and electricity.

He said the new price for petrol is RM2.70 a litre, effective midnight tonight. The price goes up by 78sen from the current RM1.92, a hike of 40%.

Abdullah also announced that the price of diesel would be increased by RM1 from RM1.58 to RM2.58.

He also said that Tenaga Nasional Bhd would be raising electricity rates by 18% for homes and 26% for business users.

The announcements are part of the new fuel subsidy plan.

Abdullah also announced a RM625 annual cash rebate per vehicle, for owners of private vehicles with engine capacities of up to 2,000cc, as well as pickup trucks and jeeps with engine capacities of up to 2,500cc.

Owners of private motorcycles with engine capacities of up to 250cc will receive RM150.

Payment will be made via Money Order upon renewal of road tax, from July 1.

For owners of private vehicles with engine capacities exceeding 2000cc, road tax will be reduced by RM200.

Owners of private motorcycles with engine capacities above 250 cc will get RM50 reduction in road tax.source:the star

After a long procrastination, i decided to force myself to study in college today. The result was indeed productive! I was satisfied with my performance there rather than staying at home for the past few days(going out, enjoy myself, etc.) I reached college in the afternoon after lunch and started off in the foyer. As there's some event going on there, i was unable to concentrate but yet i did some exercise(i did not finish the question). So i went loitering around the college and saw some friends and chit-chatted, then went back to do more exercises. At about 4 something, i felt hungry and went yam cha with Arnold and Isaac and a new friend, Eugene. The guy is in ACCA Part 3 now(salutes!). About 5.30, I went back to college and studied in the library with Edmund.

At about 7.30, i suggested to have our dinner at Sunway Pyramid to meet up with Edgar and the gang(Jason, Yee Piao & Christine). Edmund and i agreed but Chun Hoe agreed at last after much pressure on him, lol... So we headed to Pyramid in my car and had our dinner in Wendy's after meeting up with Edgar(he joined us with his books=P). After dinner we went sight-seeing at the Jackie Chan California Fitness as well as to enquire the fees and so on. The place was cool! It's so spacious and they have full range of equipments and facilities. At about 9.30, we made our move back to college to continue studying. Chun Hoe went back with his dad after realizing his dad was in Pyramid(so coincidence his car parked beside mine).

The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side, put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go.

AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO YOUR CAR, LOCK THE DOORS AND LEAVE.

5 .A Few Notes About Getting Into Your Car In a Parking Lot,or Parking
Garage:

A. Be aware: look around you; look into your car, at the passenger
side floor, and in the back seat. (And check out under the car as you
approach.)

B.If you're parked next to a big van you should enter your car from
the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

C. Look at the car parked on the driver's side of your vehicle and the
passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car,you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

Someone just told me that her friend heard a crying baby on her porch the night before last, and she called the police because it was late and she thought it was weird. The results for T7(Costing) & T8(Audit) is finally out and i must say i did really bad this time compare to Progress Test. The worse part is i failed T8->now i'm shocked, depressed and worried. What had gone wrong? I thought i was prepared. Was my study method wrong? Don't understand the question? I must find out somehow. I've already wasted one semester in the past and i must get through CAT this round. I need self-motivation to study and i only have about 2 weeks to prepare for the battle-THE FINALS.

This week's EDC was kinda boring. Didn't really learn much. Skipped some sessions. Might be used to Ms Pay Ling's method of teaching although i was once Ms Voon Sia's student. Tried my best to concentrate but my drive wasn't there. I was lost. I don't seem to move in the direction that i actually wanted. I'm stressed! I need help!

I know i cannot go on like this. I know i can overcome this. I believe i can and i must! The only question that really motivates me is from Edgar," DO YOU WANT TO STAY IN CAT FOR 2 YEARS?" I post it here to remind myself. The feeling of staying back is painful and left out. But if not cause of that, i wouldn't have met so many good friends(not to be forgotten my group 2 friends who are now in ACCA Part 2) in my current group. They are the ones i really learn how true friendship is all about. Friends are easy to find but good friends are hard to get so treasure all your good friends around you. You might never know how much you really need them until you lost them one day!

As this was a 2-day seminar, i definitely missed the first day(felt bad cause wasted the ticket) but i have no regrets=) as the 2nd day speakers(and their topics) were the one i'm looking forward to including marketing skills, millionaire mindset(i already have actually but it's ok=P), Ebay and various ways to make money in 2008 by Dr. Clement Chiang which interests me the most. I'm having my mock exam this week and feeling emotionally stressed. I went to college to study during the weekends with my friends as it was more productive rather than me sitting at home in front of my computer and bed. Well, i admit i did 'tau lan'(waste my time) with some ACCA seniors i just made friends with-we went for Counter Strike at Rock Cafe along with Edgar, Edmund, Ivan and Kay Sim (Chun Hoe didn't follow cause he was 'HOBing'-definition known only to our gang=P).

Yesterday i was kinda emo before i fell asleep. I suddenly think of my grandmother(deceased) and remembered those advices she always said to me..feel like talking to her last night and tell her how much i miss her...aihz! Well, people around us do leave us someday and i feel the only thing we can do is to appreciate them when they are around. Tell them how much you love them when you have the chance now! If you are a proud viewer of NTV7, you should probably notice a short commercial titled Love At First Sight 爱。美丽 aired around 6.58pm & 9.28pm last month. Well, it's not a normal contact lens commercial where you can see models trying on the contact lens and say "It feels so good!", "Can't live without it!" and etc. This time round Bausch & Lombs decided to make it a little special by getting a few local artists to film a 2-min commercial which talks about college students' life(it does reflects the reality though) and how people should really care about their appearance and so on. I feel it's quite a nice commercial so i decided to put it up here...enjoy!

Just completed my 3-day job with Olympus at Fotokem, Subang Parade..It was very tiring though but it was all paid off-Rm300 into my pocket=)

Me together with 3 of my friends were introduced this job by Winnie(a friend) who have been working for Olympus a couple of months ago and dragged us in. We proceed with the training session last Wednesday and out of our expectation we were required to start work immediately. Unlike me, 1 of my friend together with Winnie were assigned to the PC Fair in Johor the very next day(Thursday) as the PC Fair started last Friday. I heard they were quite exhausted working at the PC Fair as the estimated visitors per day was around 100,000-I am still considering whether to work this week's PC Fair at KL Convention Centre and with Mock Exam in 2 weeks time, i'm feeling the fear coming nearer to me day by day.

As this was my first time selling cameras, i was quite nervous as i had no experience selling these gadgets before but luckily i met few colleagues there who had the patience to teach me and help me out through the 3-day job..If they are reading this-THANKS GUYS!

The 1st night of my job i hanged out with Edgar, Edmund and Chun Hoe together with 2 new friends who stayed at the college's hostel. We went to SS2 for supper in Edmund's car and was back home around 1am.

The 2nd night however, Chun Hoe organized a drinking party at his apartment in Palm Ville, Sunway. Me, Isaac, Jacqueline, Edgar, Hong Kai, Edmund, Clara, Kay Sim, Nicholas and of course Chun Hoe were present that night and we were drinking Bombay Sapphire(gin sponsored by Edmund) and played cards & PS2 the whole night. I finally made a move around 1 something and on my way back i saw a police road block!! I was shocked!! Luckily it was on the other side of the road if not...Dropping my 'P' license this June! Thank God everything will be fine=)

April Fool...
What happen today was i woke up at 7 to fetch my sis to college and i realized i had 1 unread SMS in my phone so i just press yes as usual without any curiosity as i thought the SMS was received last night-i was so tired that i slept at 8.30pm=P It was from Yeu Song(my classmate).

"Hey guys..i'm leaving Malaysia soon..thx for all ur concern n care all tis time..may frenship b wit us forever.."

With a heavy heart, i replied as i'm going to lose a friend and my message was replied with...

"Hahaha lmao...happy april fool day :p"

I stunned! and i was like wtf and was so pissed off when i saw him in college 2day. Maybe it's just because i treasure my friends around me a lot and wouldn't want them to leave me...Well after that i was lucky that no one actually got me for the whole day, hahaha =P

She forgave me but i still feel really bad because i feel she was quite disappointed. I regretted my actions in the end..really sorry Emily!=)

After last year's Just Follow Law, Jack Neo's back with his new production Ah Long Pte Ltd and the movie is sure to make you laugh and touch your heart following successful movies from the pass such as Liang Po Po, Homerun and I Not Stupid. And the all time favourite co-stars who help enhance the humour part of the movie include Lao Zha Bor and Muthu(the Indian guard in Just Follow Law who always want black & white). Seriously the movie is damn hilarious and before it even being released in the cinemas, i already wrote it in my Must Watch List 2008!

As today was Jason's birthday, we(His gf, Edgar, Yee Piao and me) decided to celebrate with him in Pyramid and headed for a movie(Ah Long Pte Ltd). The whole cinema burst into laughter throughout the movie. After that, we decided to have a group study at Starbucks(okay talking bout my sad story..yeah i studied with them who are all in ACCA and they manage to help me in my preparation for my upcoming Progress Test). I must say i was kinda productive today although i made a move back home first at around 6 to have my dinner and here i am blogging when i'm suppose to study. Should stop here and start studying*sighs* tomorrow got class somemore...zZZ

I was off yesterday and was quite free so i decided to follow my dad out to help him with his errands. On the way to our destination, i started a father & son conversation(cars, money,etc.) about one of the new cars Naza would be bringing in around May and that would be the Peugeot 207cc which is a replacement of the 206cc which happens to be one of the car my dad was eyeing sometime ago for my mum but ended up buying a Camry...
After finishing his errants, we headed home and on our way home, a new blue building caught my eye-The Peugeot Blue Box Showroom and inside lies the baby Peugeot 207cc. At first i was quite shock as the car will only be released in May but i'm very sure that's the baby, so i immediately asked my dad to turn back there to check it out!

especially paper T5 which i failed the last semester, i finally passed the paper-wOOt! Well the moral of the story is never give up especially when u are in this course-a journey to the world of ACCA...hopefully i can get through the remaining 2 papers and proceed to ACCA part2 the next semester...i know i can do it!

It seems that one after another 'erection' is happening in this year of election..firstly, our Health Minister then the latest HK film star Edison Chen..i'm sure you guys heard bout the story too and i guess you are curious to search for the photos yea? come'on guys, tell the truth, hehe! Lap Chun is the first day of spring in the Chinese Lunar Calendar which normally falls on the 4th of February every year. Since my blog is so quiet for a while, i shall jz blog about this good citizen at a Mamak near my place...
It started when a customer was stung by a bee when he was leaving the Mamak.This foreign worker at the Mamak witnessed the incident and after discovering the habitat of this bee, he immediately inform the fire department to take further actions. The fire fighters arrived at night ( i think they assume the bees were sleeping) and set fire at the bee hive. Their mission finally accomplished after 20 minutes.

Drinking party at my place...
It was finally fixed at Awal Muharam eve. Andrea suggested we have fast n simple food so i decided to get pizzas. But first i went to pick up Jacqueline as she was not driving that day, after that i head to the nearest Pizza Hut and got the pizzas. Oh yea Pizza Hut service was good, they even serve u drinks while waiting for the pizza & refill ur drinks automatically when it was finished at no charge! Is their service this good all the while or only that branch?

So the party started about 8pm and this time Edmund brought his partner for the very first time along with my 2 best friends, Eric & Jyh Loong. Andrea bought a half bottle Black Label & i contributed a Chivas or how can we call it a drinking party rite? We started off with our meal after a long wait for Nicholas & Kay Sim as everyone became hungry & couldn't wait anymore but we did kept some pizzas for them according to Andrea: "eh, leave 3 pizzas for Nick & 1 for Kay Sim." Not that she's mean but Kay Sim is known to have an eating disorder.

After Nicholas n not to forget his new toy(DSLR camera) & Kay Sim arrived we proceed with the drinking along with a card game introduced by Jeremy, Andrea's boyfriend which goes

Finally the exams over..left me with only 2 papers in the first half of 2008 before i can proceed to ACCA..Well i felt i've done pretty well in the finals this sitting so there shouldn't be any unwanted failures..enough is enough!! So since exams are over i definitely turn on the holiday mode^^ There are several things i would like to do during this 2 week break and i managed to accomplish some to date..and after all this stress and pressure i decided to have a karaoke session with my friends (Elena, Eric and Jyh Loong) today=)

Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

It was my parents wedding anniversary somewhere last week and we decided to have our dinner at Crown Princess Hotel, Kuala Lumpur located near the heart of KL, Bukit Bintang...the place sound unfamiliar at first so i just cling along together with my siblings...Well, the main thing that concerns me is the food!! =) and they certainly did not turn me down... We had buffet style and the food was emm-delicious... I was so full to try all the variety of deserts but i managed to grab some cakes especially a chocolate cake which was similar with Secret Recipe's Chocolate Indulgence...yum! and there was also the beef salami which i love the most that day..oh yea i wanted to take the pictures of the food but it looked very jaccoon according to my parents so i only had a few shots that day...well nvm you guys can go try them yourself by buying ur parents dinner ~~to show how filial u are~~ lolzx! I also get to enjoy the night scenery of KL from the hotel as the cafe was located at the tenth floor...

After dinner dad drove us along Bukit Bintang to check out the Pavilion which I'm yet to be visit, perhaps after the finals and i heard that GSC cinemas will also be screening there soon~hmm..miss the life after SPM where we can enjoy ourselves without worries..

As we grow older, there seem to be more responsibilities- that's life i guess?

The finals are around the corner..to all CAT Group 2 Students, we have only 16 days more which will be starting with paper 6 Drafting Financial Statements...Good luck to all and happy studying^^

It was the end of the EDC/EFC for p6 and jovial faces can be seen throughout the lessons especially when Jana is around..he always keeps the class alive with his neverending jokes and yet delivers his lectures effectively...he will also makes sure that everyone understands before carrying on with the next chapter and lastly our time spent with him and the advice and experience in life he shared with us shall always be remembered..as for our finals, we shall do our best and will not disappoint u sir!

"Going Concern for ACCA affected"

There had been piling works behind my house which is directly facing my room since last week which definitely pissed me off especially when u have to wake up the same time they start work every morning ard 8.30-9am...Think about it, how can anyone stand it...it's like an alarm clock with vibration of course when the piling hits the ground and you'll be wondering if there's an earthquake early in the morning(okay okay, i think i'm exaggerating) but i really can't concentrate studying as the finals are only 4 weeks away, aihz...oh yea i managed to snap the surrounding of my house to before the piling works started to see if the piling works affects the structure of my house ie, cracks and if any after the piling works, i can demand for compensation!!XD for p9 CAT students, compensation is capital in nature therefore not taxable, lolzx! omg! i'm so engrossed with tax!XD
